Condominium ownership (propriété par étages, or ‘PPE’) is a particular type of co-ownership in Switzerland. Each co-owner has a share in the entire building but also the right to use one or several units within it. The co-owners therefore share rights to the common areas (the plot of land, the building’s exterior, the entrance) while also having exclusive rights to one ownership unit (e.g. an apartment or loft). By law, all PPE owners must form a general assembly of co-owners, which usually meets annually and is chaired by an administrator, such as a professional management company.
Managing and running a PPE calls for a whole range of specific skills, marrying experience, trust, transparency and an ability to foster dialogue.
PROUD OF OUR EXPERTISE
We currently manage more than 100 properties, covering both privately and state-owned buildings.
RESPECTED FOR OUR LONG-STANDING EXPERIENCE
We have been based in Geneva since 1872 and forge lasting relationships of mutual respect with our clients. Most of the co-owned properties in our care have been on our books for more than 15 years.
RECOGNISED FOR OUR TEAM'S HUMAN TOUCH
Property management cannot be reduced to technical and administrative know-how alone, which is why our professionals are also selected for their ability to listen and engage. They are able to create an environment that is conducive to successfully managing a co-owned property – one in which every co-owner is able to speak with their own voice. When difficult situations arise, our staff draw on that same professionalism to act as true mediators.
