In its press release, the Council of State confirmed updates to the regulation implementing Article 8A of the Law on Registration Duties of March 1, 2004, adjusting the CASATAX provisions. This initiative, launched by the CGI, allows buyers to reduce registration fees when purchasing their main residence.
Starting March 1, 2025, the new CASATAX thresholds will be:
- Maximum property value: CHF 1,374,396 (previously CHF 1,359,903)
- Tax reduction: CHF 20,616 (previously CHF 20,399)
