Sustainable refurbishment in Geneva: a standout project at Rue de Lyon 57
As part of its ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable renovation, Pilet & Renaud is currently managing a major refurbishment project on Rue de Lyon, Geneva. This initiative perfectly reflects Bonhôte-Immobilier SICAV’s vision: combining efficiency, durability and optimal working conditions, even when faced with challenging weather.
A temporary roof securing progress — and tenant comfort
To ensure a smooth workflow throughout the year, a temporary roof of approximately 575 m² has been installed over the entire building structure — an impressive technical setup operated by trusted specialists.
This protection shields workers and materials from weather hazards such as heavy rain, strong winds, and Geneva’s winter cold. Most importantly, it prevents weather-related delays: without this structure, the recent storms would have forced us to stop the works and suspend operations over the winter season.
Thanks to this strategic solution, the refurbishment began in September and is scheduled for completion around May/June 2025:
➡️ Shorter construction period
➡️ Reduced disruption for tenants
➡️ Comfortable return to newly renovated homes by next summer
A concrete step toward more sustainable housing
The project aligns with Pilet & Renaud’s environmental and social commitments: responsible construction methods, reduced energy impact and enhanced comfort for future residents. Every decision aims to streamline the project while minimizing its footprint on the neighbourhood.
A forward-thinking model for future renovations
Rue de Lyon 57 stands as a clear demonstration of Pilet & Renaud’s strengths: innovation, precision, safety and long-term responsibility.
The solutions developed here will inform future renovation strategies, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient built environment across Geneva.
