The Ferney 27 project is part of an ambitious approach to sustainable urban development in Geneva. It consists of two buildings: Crocrodile, a residential building born from a partnership between the SoCoop and Cohda cooperatives, and Hoortus, a fully commercial building. The latter offers 1,400 m² of commercial space spread over several levels, with a third-floor terrace running along the façade, thus providing a high-quality and welcoming outdoor space.
The architecture of Hoortus stands out thanks to a unique balance between wood and concrete, particularly visible on the façade. This structural choice, combined with a design that meets the THPE standard, puts nature and sustainable development at the heart of the project. Large openings, the rhythm of the façades and carefully controlled volumes promote everyday well-being and make it possible to imagine mixed-use spaces, tailored to every activity.
From the start of the marketing phase, there was immediate interest in establishing a daycare center occupying a large part of the building. Thanks to the efficiency of our commercial real estate services and the trust placed in us by the City of Geneva, the project’s development was guided in this direction.
We rigorously followed the recommendations of the two architects commissioned by the City to guarantee compliance with specific safety regulations, functionality, and adherence to current standards for this type of facility. The handover of the daycare, carried out in their presence, confirmed the compliance of the fittings—an essential step for a structure of this scope.
One commercial space is currently still available, offering an opportunity for new stakeholders wishing to establish themselves within the project.
We managed the entire commercial project by surrounding ourselves with experts and working closely with the relevant authorities and bodies to ensure optimal success. This specific experience, gained as part of the Hoortus project, is already bearing fruit and allows us to confidently embark on a new management project that will begin shortly and of which we will speak soon.
